Scenes from a continuing tragedy – Part One Thousand and Something.
Today, I bought a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a half pint of milk in a retail outlet in a transport hub. Twice.
In an English airport I paid £3.49. In a Dublin train station I paid €5.95 or £5.40. More than 50% extra!
Here’s the kicker. The English sandwich had 3 half-rounds of varied contents as opposed to 2 of the same in Dublin.
So don’t even to mention devaluations to me.
We have an awful long way to go before our finances are sorted out.
